the company

Proyecto Kavauri is a contemporary circus company formed by Claudia and Angelo, from Tresperté, who after ceasing their activity in 2021, bet on the creation of this new company.

With their first show, Lullaby, they have established themselves as a national circus icon. With several award nominations and being nominated for the Max Awards for best street show in 2024, they have performed up to 100 shows in a single year, in part due to having been selected by circuits such as Circo a Escena, Platea, the Andalusian Theater Networks, Castilla La Mancha, and many others.

In 2010 they formed Tresperté with their two partners Paco and Luis, after their training at the CAU Circus School in Granada. With the company they created the shows “Oopart”, “Aquí sobra uno” and a co-production with other Andalusian artists: “Ludo Circus Show”. They have made more than 1000 performances, going through the best fairs and festivals, touring 10 different countries and receiving different awards at national and international level. After 10 years of training and teamwork, they launch this new format in duo where they will put on stage and behind the scenes everything they have learned and experienced after the tours that the previous shows gave them. Humor, acrobatics and teeterboard will continue to be their driving force on stage. Their specialization in teeterboard is what makes them different, being the only Andalusian company to use this circus technique.

Claudia ortiz

Claudia started in the world of show business with the Karlik Danza company in 2004, with whom she began her training in contemporary dance and began to collaborate in some of the company’s productions. It is at this time when she also began to work as a puppeteer in the company that came from her family, Titereatro, making substitutions in several productions.

It was in 2008 when she got to know the world of circus, and after finishing her university studies, she began to train doing courses, especially aerial, until 2010 when she entered the CAU Circus School in Granada. Here he specializes as an agile of an acrobatic trio, and it is where he meets those who will be his partners and founders of the company Tresperté.

In this year he combines his training at the circus school with the Official Master in Performing Arts at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid, graduating in 2011.

During 2013 she works with the company Vaivén Circo as a substitute during the winter tour. In 2014 she starts with her colleagues of Tresperté in the scales, a circus element that they have discovered in a self-taught way and through training in Belgium, the cradle of development of this technique.

Upon his return, he begins to merge the teeterboard with the acrobatic carriage and obtains a new and fresh result, creating a show entitled Oopart “History of a setback”, an ambitious project with a capital P of the company Tresperté, internationally awarded. At the same time, he is carrying out another production entitled “Ludo”, in co-production with 7 other Andalusian artists, winner of many awards.
Currently she continues to train, and simultaneously works as an acrobat and producer of the company.

Carmine Piccolo (Angelo)

Angelo Their beginnings date back to 2006, when they decided to travel to Spain for the first time. This trip was not going to be for long. Of course, that’s because he didn’t know that once he started he couldn’t get any less.

His training began in 2007 when he decided to initiate himself in the art of failure with Alexandre Coelho, clown and director. He immediately started with creation laboratories in groups and collectives and then he started to perform on stage. This process culminated in the creation of a solo piece entitled “Marcheseggiando”, with which he performed in countries such as Italy, France, Switzerland and Spain. It is at this moment when the desire for more comes.
In 2008 he started training in the gymnastics club in INEF (Granada) with Miguel Márquez. This same year he is the winner of an Italian television contest, “La Botola” where he receives the first prize with a juggling number, the result of 7 years of self-taught training, and that pushed him to travel to Spain.

In the years 2010 and 2012 is when he begins his comprehensive training at the School of Circus and Theater CAU (Granada), where he develops as an actor, deepens in clown, and ends up specializing in acrobatic portes, floor acrobatics and Chinese mast. At the culmination of this process, the Tresperté Circo Teatro Company was born with a fascinating comedy entitled “Aquí sobra uno”, which will take them to the most select stages of the performing arts in Spain, and they will travel to Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Portugal.

After traveling and performing so much, the interest returns to training, and in 2014 begins a new challenge, which is called “Korean teeterboard”. That’s why he trains in Madrid at the circus school Carampa with Eduardo Lucas Muñoz and then travels to Belgium with the desire for more. On his return he begins to merge the scales with the acrobatic bearing and obtains a new and fresh result, creating a show entitled Oopart “Historia de un contratiempo”, an ambitious project with a capital P of the company Tresperté. At the same time he carries out another production entitled “Ludo”, in co-production with 7 of the greatest Andalusian artists.

In 2020, he is carrying out the training “The Art of the Clown” with Fanny Giraud and Christophe Thellier.
